Hello! My name is Karisha Brown and I work with Katrina Jefferson as her paraprofessional. This will be my second year working with her and it has been an absolute delight! Our room is located in the Guardian Angel wing. This will be my fourth year working at Redemptorist St. Gerard and an interesting fact about me is that I attended this school and graduated from 6th grade here back when it was known as St. Gerard Majella. I am also an alumni of Redemptorist High School but I finished out my high school years at Jehovah Jireh Christian Academy, a 2012 graduate.
Currently I am working on obtaining my Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education at Grand Canyon University. Working and teaching with the youth is so much more than just a job for me. I love what I do and it’s my passion!
Children of all ages, bring their bright smiling faces and sparkling eyes to school, making a smile appear on my face daily. Watching the children learn new things, grow as individuals and strive to do better gives me the great satisfaction. I know educating our youth is what God has called me to do. No, I’m not a superhero but I’m something even more powerful – I am a teacher’s assistant. I don’t need a cape because I’m lifted by the amazing energy from within the kids I support!
