Mr. Marvin Martin

Hi my name in Coach Martin and I just want to let everyone know how excited I am for the new school year. I was born and raised in Sorrento, LA, where I attended St. Amant High School (class of 2010). During that time I was a student athlete but the main sport I exceled in was football. I was a three year letterman for football where I played offensive and defensive line. I earned first team all district my junior and senior year. I was also All-Parish and selected to play in the U.S. Army Red Stick All-Star game as a senior.

I was blessed to receive a football scholarship to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and I can honestly say that was the best five years of my life! I was part of a team that won four New Orleans bowl championships. But the best thing about UL was graduating with a degree in general studies and making the honor roll team.

I was a football coach at St. James High and was state runner up for football so it was a great experience. I really enjoy coaching kids because that’s my passion. My goal this year is to make sure all my kids have fun and learn the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. I also want to teach them life lessons because I believe the youth are our future.

I’m ready for the new school year and Go Wolfpack!
